VOGUES 16U GO 4-0 AT USJN

A Vogues 16U team coached by Fred Priester went 4-0 at the 9th Annual US Junior National Fall Finale-SOUTH. Coach Priester assembled a team with players drawn from 3 grades to compete this past weekend in Washington, DC. Congratulations to Coach Priester and the players:

VOGUES 10TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM WINS CHARM CITY BLUE CHIP CHALLENGE

The Vogues 10th Grade National team continued its successful 2014 campaign by going 3-1 and winning the Charm City Blue Chip Challenge tournament. Congratulations to coaches Campbell and Gadell, and to all of the players.

VOGUES 10TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM — 2014 US JUNIOR NATIONAL – HERSHEY CHAMPIONS

The 10th Grade National Team won the championship at US Junior National – Hershey in June. The team went 5-0 in pool play. In the championship bracket the team beat the Matrix Black 15 in the semifinals in come from behind fashion — down 10 to win by 5. In the championship game the team beat Michigan Pride by 5. 4TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM TRAVELS TO BALTIMORE

The 4th Grade National team won another 5th grade tournament at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. It was a great win for the team given they had to play 3 tough D1 teams, all close games. Next up — the AAU National Championship. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


9TH GRADE VOGUES NATIONAL TEAM – DEEP SOUTH AND BOO WILLIAMS ELITE 64 CHAMPIONS

The Vogues 9th Grade National team travel to Raleigh the last weekend in April to compete in the Deep South Showcase. The team rolled through pool play going 3 and 0 winning by an average of 22 points. In the semi-final game they then beat the Central Maryland Attitude by 18. In the championship game the team beat Michigan Finest by 17!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In June the team traveled to Newport News to compete in the BWSL Elite 64 tournament at Boo Williams. The team won all 3 pools game, including a 58 to 17 dismantling of the host BWSL Richmond team. In bracket play, they beat the Connecticut Lady Supremes 51 to 11, then beat the Philly Stars 44 to 39 to advance to the championship game. In a rematch of an earlier game, the BWSL Richmond team wanted revenge for the pool play game the day before, but the Vogues held on at the end to win the Championship game 58 to 48.

 




 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


8TH GRADE VOGUES NATIONAL TEAM – BOO WILLIAMS ELITE 64 CHAMPIONS

The Vogues 8th Grade National team traveled Hampton, VA this past weekend to play in the Boo Williams Elite 64 tournament. The team earned the championship trophy by winning 6 games against zero losses. The team beat BWSL Richmond in the finals by 30 points. Congratulations to Coach Benjamin and the team!

TEAM COSTIGAN – 3RD AND 4TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM RECENT EVENTS

The 2014 Vogues 3rd and 4th Grade National teams led by Bridget and Shawn Costigan have had a fun and successful spring. Both teams won their division at the Battle of Balls Bluff tournament. The 3rd Grade National team earned the Bronze medal at the Potomac Valley AAU Regional Qualifier while the 4th Grade National team earned a Silver Medal.

2014 7TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM WINS MID ATLANTIC INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

2014 Vogues 7th Grade National Mid Atlantic Invitational Champions

The Vogues 7th Grade National team went undefeated at the recently concluded 2014 Mid Atlantic Invitational Championship (M.A.G.i.C.) Tournament to earn a gold medal. Congratulations to Coach Parris, assistant coach Ken Coan, and the 7th grade National team players for showing that hard work and determination pay off!

The Vogues 10th Grade National team led by head coach Pete Campbell went undefeated at the recently concluded Potomac Valley District qualifier to earn a gold medal. Congratulations to Coach Campbell, assistant coaches Tom Corridon, Brianna Kelley (former Vogues player), and Meghan Gadell (former Vogues player); and the 10th grade National team players for a job well done!


10TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM EARNS GOLD MEDAL AT AAU DISTRICT QUALIFIER

 


VOGUES 8TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM EARNS GOLD MEDAL AT AAU DISTRICT QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT

The Vogues 8th Grade National Team, led by Head Coach Jeff Benjamin, won the Potomac Valley AAU District Qualifying Tournament. Coach Benjamin’s team went 6-0 to earn a Gold Medal and a trip the the AAU Championship in Orlando in July.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


VOGUES 6TH GRADE NATIONAL TEAM EARNS SILVER MEDAL

The Vogues 6th Grade National team won the Silver Medal at DQTs in Capitol Heights, MD this past weekend. After two convincing wins in the preliminary round, the Vogues beat a very good Matrix team in the semi-finals before losing a tough game to Team Sol in the Championship game. The silver medal finish in DQTs earns them a Division 1 bid to the National tournament in Franklin, TN. This is the first time that the girls on this team have advanced to the AAU National tournament. Congratulations to Coach Whitaker, assistant coaches Trotter and Madison, and the players!
